Precautions Common to All Courses

About Weather on Tour Day

In principle, it is possible for us to guide you on a rainy day.
Please be informed, however, that your tour may be suspended depending on the weather conditions (typhoon, thunder, heavy rain, strong wind, etc.)
Also, you tour will be suspended in cases where any staff member and/or guide considers it as dangerous.

Meeting Place on Tour Day

Please be present at the meeting place 10 minutes prior to the start of your tour.
(You are recommended to use a bathroom before the start of your tour.)

One-Hour Course for Wind Cave or Ice Cave/Two-Hour Course Wind Cave and Ice Cave

Meeting at Fugaku Wind Cave
Concession Stand (Brown Building) Right Next to Wind Cave Parking
Meeting at Narusawa Ice Cave
Entrance (Brown Building) Immediately Next to Ice Cave Parking
Please tell a staff member there that you have made a guide reservation.

Courses Taking Three Hours or More (Including Wild Birds’ Forest (Yacho-no-Mori) Two-Hour Course)

Please show up at the meeting place designated at a meeting with us. Your staff members and guide will be expecting you.

Clothes and Belongings on Tour Day

Comfortable Clothes and Athletic Shoes

Please refrain from wearing sandals, high heels and a miniskirt.

Rain Wear

Please prepare it to take care of sudden rains. It is dangerous for you to use an umbrella then because it occupies your one hand when going up and down the stairs in the cave.
You are recommended to prepare a rain wear easy to carry.

Outer Wear (long-sleeved) and Hat

Please prepare them if you participate in a course where you are to enter Wind Cave and/or Ice Cave. The temperature in the cave ranges from 0 to 4 degrees. You are going to be in the cave for 20 minutes or so.
A hat is used for protecting your head as some places in the cave have a low ceiling.
Our (free) helmet rental service is available for you, while there is a limitation in the number of the helmets.

Gloves

The arm rail of the stairs in the cave is very cold. Please prepare them if you are concerned about it.

About Cancellation

A cancellation on the tour day costs you the cancellation fee (100%).
If you are more than 30 minutes late in showing up at a starting time without a prior notice, you are considered to have made a cancellation.
Please confirm your date and time again when coming to the venue to participate in the tour and also be sure to make a reservation in advance, etc.

Please inform us of any change in the number of participants, etc. as soon as you are aware of that.
Your fee may change due to an increase or decrease in the number of participants.

About Transportation

If Coming to Venue by Your Private Car

The traffic jam and congestion are likely including in summer break and Golden Week (the period of consecutive national holidays of Japan in the beginning of May). Please be careful in estimating your arrival time.
Parking your car at the parking may take time as well.

If Coming to Venue by Public Bus

Please apply after checking your public bus on the time table.

Payment Method

We only accept cash. We don’t accept credit cards. Please prepare cash.

Busy Summer Season

About Parking

Parking your car is expected to take a little more time in the summer season.
Please arrive at the venue ahead of time. Be sure to make a prior notice to us in case that you will be late.

About Course including Entry into Narusawa Ice Cave

You may not enter Ice Cave due to the congestion in it. (Your guided time includes the waiting time to enter Ice Cave.)
The narrowness inside the cave makes it impossible to overtake other participants or prioritize your guided tour.
Further, your route is subject to an inevitable, sudden change for avoiding the congestion. We ask for your understanding in advance.

Others

About pets

Please do not participate in the tour with pets.

About Drinking and Eating

You are totally prohibited to drink and eat in the cave. Drinking and eating during the tour is not allowed in principle. Please replace your lost water, etc. for the prevention of heatstroke at a designated place under your guide’s instruction.

To Customer with Baby

It is very dangerous for you to enter the cave with carrying your baby in your hands or on your back.
Only children capable of surely walking by themselves are allowed to participate in our tour.

Please be sure to follow an instruction of you guide during the tour.

You will be declined to participate in the tour at the discretion of our staff member and/or guide in the event that you don’t show a good manner or moral behavior.

Please refrain from participating in the tour if you fall under any of the following conditions;

• A customer who has drunk much alcohol;
• customer who is suffering an injury such as broken bone; or
• customer who is pregnant.

We would appreciate your understanding and cooperation on this matter for the safe tour.
